Layout Technician

Position Summary

The Layout Technician is responsible for performing the layout of piping systems in accordance with Mistras Layout Procedures. The Layout Technician may also assist in performing other inspection related tasks as needed.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Perform layout of piping systems in accordance with Mistras Layout Procedures.
  • Have a proficient understanding of non-destructive testing principles.
  • Flawless adherence to company and client procedures and policies.
  • Ensure that Quality of assigned work is performed to the highest level for all area of control.
  • Immediately report equipment malfunctions/damage to supervisor and/or MTE.
  • Lead the team by flawless demonstration of Company’s HSSE policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Complete requisite training and testing to the Mistras Layout procedure.
  • Strong familiarity with Customers’ MIMIR database, Atlas GIS, EDDI drawing system, or comparable systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of the North Slope work environment is highly preferred.
  • Self-starter, with a strong work ethic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Essential Physical Functions

  • Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs.

  • Per diem
